How a masterbatch supplier manufactures masterbatch?

All ingredients that are necessary to prepare a masterbatch are gathered and mixed together to form a homogenous mixture. The product thus formed is then subjected to shearing stress and converted in manageable pellets. To ensure a consistent mixture of all ingredients the mixture is taken through a series of devices such as strainers, kneaders and extrudes. To dull the effect, weaker dosing is done, gradually adding to the dosage as necessary. Masterbatches entirely take out the need for guesswork out of the equation. Additive Masterbatches – Playing a vital role in plastic manufacturing


When it comes to plastic manufacturing, there are lots of processes undergo before the final product comes out. Polythene is typically natural in colour and Masterbatches are used to add colour to it.

For dark colour, the masterbatch percentage varies between 6-12%. It is important to note that there are certain colours that have good opacity properties e.g., white cannot be opaque so co-ex needs to be made with a colored inner layer.
