Plastic raw material

Plastic raw material

Plastic raw material that is used in the plastic industry in the manufacture of masterbatch and other products are of many types. There are different types of resins that are used as plastic raw material. The main types are:

1)    Polypropylene: This is one of the most commonly used raw material. Polypropylene resin is used widely in the packaging industry.  It is also commonly used in plastic parts that are used in the automotive industry. It is used to make car parts. It is also used in the textile industry. It is inexpensive in nature and has good impact strength.
2)    Polycarbonate: This is yet another popular resin. It is widely used for making plastic lenses in eyewear and also to make bullet proof glass. This is mainly because of its impact resistance nature. It is also used to make medical devices, DVDs, and even used in the construction of greenhouses. It is also heat resistant in nature.
3)    Poly vinyl chloride: PVC is available in granular, paste, and many other forms and can be used in the textile and clothing industry. It is also used in a variety of other applications including window blinds, pipes, electric cables, etc.
4)    Polystyrenes: This is also available in many forms like paste, solution, powder, and granules. It is used in a variety of applications. It can be used to make food containers, the inside of fridge doors, jars, toothbrushes, and many other products.
5)    Polyamide: Polyamide is a plastic raw material that is used in making of textile fibres, electric plugs, syringes, household appliances, and also in making automobile parts.
6)    Celluloid: Celluloid acetate is a transparent material, used in making of photographic films. Celluloid nitrate is used in the making of varnishes and paints.
7)    Linear Polyester: come in three prominent forms PET, PBT, and PTMT. PET is commonly used in making of plastic bottles. They are also used in many other applications.
8)    Unsaturated polyester: This resin is used in manufacture of binding agents, including glues and also varnishes.
9)    Melamine resins: They are used in the wood industry and is commonly known as Formica.
10)    Polyurethane:  This has multiple uses and used in the manufacture of paints, varnishes, foams, and also in the textile industry.
